Little Writers: Make Up a Superhero

We live in a time when EVERY child knows what a superhero is. Superman, the Avengers, and even Ant-Man. Every child knows these heroes. This week we have focused on writing superhero stories. So for today's Little Writers activity, we want you to let your child's imagination soar.

It's time to make up a superhero!

We have a few simple questions for you to ask your child:

1.) What does your hero look like? They don't have to look human. They can be an alien or even a dog.

2.) What are your hero's powers? Can they fly? Do they see the future? Do they turn whatever they touch into carrots?

3.) What are your hero's weaknesses? Are they afraid of heights? Do they have an allergy to fish?

4.) What does your hero stand for? Do they want to keep oceans clean? Do they want to protect the world? Maybe they want to cure cancer.

5.) Every hero has a nemesis. This is a bad guy that your hero fights like Ultron or Lex Luther. Does your hero have a bad guy they have to stop?

After your child's answered these questions, let them draw their hero!

Happy writing!
