Photo Fridays: SnapShot Writing

 

Take a trip through time with our SnapShot for the day. Usually, we give you an image and we set you on a mission to write a single scene with the photo or artwork as inspiration. 

Today we challenge you to find your own time travel-themed artwork and write a quick scene inspired by the work. For example, we have found this lovely work on DeviantArt that is a vivid depiction of time. As an extra challenge, try timing yourself to write a scene within an hour or two. Don't think. Just look at the artwork and write what that scene means to you and let it come to life as you type.

The challenges provide a way to hone your writing by challenging yourself to think in terms of a single scene. This can help you create stories from a single moment and help your scenes become stronger.
