Fan-Fic Fridays: Mysteries

 

Spent some time watching Hallmark mysteries which have inspired this week's fan-fic prompts. If you're anything like me, then you love a good murder mystery. This week I spent some time watching Hailey Dean Mysteries, Martha Vineyard Mysteries, and Matchmaker Mysteries. Check out the prompts for this week for some fun short story starters that will get your mystery started off right. 

1.) Your dog is digging in the backyard and digs up human bones. 

2.) You're the local matchmaker in town and your latest client has been a picky customer. You're convinced that you've found the perfect match for them, but then their match is found dead outside their door. 

3.) A close relative recently died and you're in charge of cleaning out their house. You find a trunk in the attic and inside is a skull. 

4.) It's Halloween and the local library is fully decorated with paper ghosts, pumpkins, and skeletons. When you dig out more decorations, you discover that one of the skeletons is real.
